Companion by Minitab 5.1.1 Software Update

Companion 5.1.1 is the latest free update to Companion by Minitab. Companion 5.1.1 includes updates that enable a concurrent license model for the Companion full version and maintenance fixes for the Companion desktop app.

To avoid compatibility issues, Minitab strongly encourages all those using Companion by Minitab to update to the latest version.

Get the Update

Companion Full Version

  1. Visit and sign in to your Minitab License Portal Account.
  2. Choose the Companion by Minitab subscription you need to update.
  3. Click Manage.
  4. Follow the on screen instructions to update your subscription and desktop app.

Note: It is imperative that Companion by Minitab Full Version licenses apply this update to avoid future licensing issues and ensure compatibility with Companion files throughout the organization.

Companion Desktop Only App

  1. Open Companion by Minitab Desktop app.
  2. Choose Help > Check for Updates.
  3. Click Install.

Note: If the Check for Updates option cannot be selected, your organization may have disabled Minitab Software Updates. Please contact your organization’s Companion by Minitab license administrator to access this update. If you do not know who your license administrator, please contact Minitab Technical Support.
