Multi-User Licensing

Minitab offers multi-user licensing options for Minitab Statistical Software, Quality Companion, and Quality Trainer. 

Multi-user installation requires three components:

  • License file(s) : See the Licenses tab
  • Minitab License Manager (server installation) : See the Multi-User Downloads tab
  • Minitab Software (client installation) : See the Multi-User Downloads tab

Licenses

License files are necessary for multi-user installations.  This includes both networked and stand-alone installations. 

Use the link below to create or renew existing license files.  Appropriate access is required to manage license files.  Please contact your license coordinator to gain proper access permissions.

System Requirements

Minitab License Manager has the following recommended system requirements:

  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows 2000, Server 2003, XP, Vista
  • Processor: Pentium II or equivalent
  • Connectivity: At least one enabled network interface card
  • Hard Disk Space: 100 MB (Dependent on log file settings)
  • RAM: 512 MB or more

Minitab Statistical Software system requirements:

  • Operating System - Minitab 15 English: Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, or Vista.
    Minitab 15 French: French Windows 2000, XP, or Vista, French regional settings only.
    Minitab 15 German: German Windows 2000, XP, or Vista, German regional settings only.
    Minitab 15 Korean: Korean Windows 2000, XP, or Vista, Korean regional settings only.
    Minitab 15 Simplified Chinese: Simplified Chinese Windows 2000, XP, or Vista, Simplified Chinese regional settings only.
    Minitab 15 Spanish: Spanish Windows 2000, XP, or Vista, Spanish regional settings only.
  • RAM - 512 MB or more
  • Processor - 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
  • Hard Disk Space - 125 MB (minimum) free space available
  • Screen Resolution - 1024 x 768 or higher
  • Adobe® Reader - Version 5.0 or higher required for Meet Minitab

Quality Companion, Dashboard, and Viewer system requirements:

  • Operating Systems - Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or higher, Windows XP Service Pack 1 or higher, Windows Vista
  • RAM - 512 MB or more of available RAM
  • CPU - 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
  • Display - A display capable of 1024 x 768 or higher resolution
  • Browser - Internet Explorer 6 or 7
  • PDF Reader - Acrobat Reader 5 or higher
  • Hard Disk Space - 100 MB (minimum) available hard disk space for installation

Quality Companion Dashboard - 40 MB (minimum) available hard disk space

Quality Companion Viewer - 90 MB (minimum) available hard disk space
