To change the decimal symbol for Minitab if you are using Windows Vista:
1. Choose the Windows logo (Start) > Control Panel.
2. Click Clock, Language, and Region.
3. Click Change the date, time, or number format.
4. Do one of the following:
- Choose a region that uses the decimal separator you prefer. For example, to use a comma as a decimal separator, choose French (France) instead of English (United States). Click OK.
- Click Customize this format. In Decimal symbol, type the decimal separator (e.g., comma). Click OK in each dialog box.
To change the decimal symbol for Minitab if you are using Windows XP:
1. Choose Start > Control Panel.
2. Double-click Regional and Language Options.
3. On the Regional Options tab, do one of the following:
- Choose a region that uses the decimal separator you prefer. For example, to use a comma as a decimal separator, choose French (France) instead of English (United States). Click OK.
- Click Customize. In Decimal symbol, type the decimal separator (e.g., comma). Click OK in each dialog box.
To change the decimal symbol for Minitab if you are using a prior version of Windows:
1. Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2. Double-click Regional Settings or Regional Options (depending on your operating system).
3. Do one of the following:
- On the General tab, choose a region that uses the decimal separator you prefer. For example, to use a comma as a decimal separator, choose French (France) instead of English (United States). Click OK.
- On the Numbers tab, in Decimal symbol, type the decimal separator (e.g., comma). Click OKin each dialog box.
