Bruno Scibilia
Technical Training Specialist
Bruno Scibilia joined the Paris-based Minitab team in 2007. He started as a Technical Support Specialist, responding to customer queries regarding the installation and use of Minitab Statistical Software and the Project Management Software Quality Companion.
Bruno now leads a number of the Minitab Public Training courses in Paris.
“I was a practitioner of quality improvement statistical techniques and software within a manufacturing company for a number of years. This experience of the industrial environment and the awareness of its problems and challenges give me a better understanding of the voice (or needs) of our Training customers.
Training and Technical Support complement each other: they help to develop an awareness of technical requests and training expectations expressed by the majority of our users, as well as building an understanding in the variety of applications of Minitab Software solutions”.
Bruno obtained a PhD in Design of Experiments. He worked as a Statistical Engineer in the semi-conductor industry for six years. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Nick Jones
Technical Training Specialist
Nick Jones joined the Minitab team in October 2007 after obtaining a 1st in Statistics (BSc) at the University of Reading. He initially started as a Technical Support Specialist, offering help and advice on a wide range of Minitab software and statistical queries to customers of varying expertise and nationality, at the same time as increasing his own personal knowledge of the software packages.
He is now using this experience to pass on the knowledge he has gained to others as a Trainer for Minitab Ltd, based in Coventry, whilst continuing to provide technical support.
“After enjoying a degree in Statistics and working within the Technical Support Department to provide a high level of support to Minitab users, training offers a new opportunity to help delegates learn the software, the statistics and how to make analysis easier by putting it all together”.
Robert Collis
Technical Training Specialist
"I try to make our Minitab training courses practical, accessible and memorable."
Recent Clients: Philips Lighting, 3M, Rhodia Engineering Plastics, Honeywell, and Renault DIAC.
"I enjoy drawing on my real-life experiences of using statistics when teaching courses in the European company environment. I try to make our Minitab training courses practical, accessible and memorable. My role as a trainer is made all the more interesting as I am able to roll out the same training programme in both French and English for our customers with multiple sites across Europe."
Robert is one two Minitab trainers based in the Minitab office in Paris, France.
Robert joined the Minitab team in May '97. During his first four months with us, he worked on a part-time basis, whilst he completed his Marketing Masters degree at Coventry University. Taking up a full time position in September '97 Robert became responsible for the provision of technical support to all the Minitab users across Europe.
Coupled with his linguistic talent (bilingual French-English), the statistics degree that Robert attained at the University of London gave him a good head start in understanding what our customers needed.
In June 1998, Minitab launched its first fully-translated French product, Minitab Version 12 en francais. Several months later in 1999, following the completion of the Institute of Personal Development course in Training, Robert transferred to Minitab Sarl in Paris.
From the Paris office he provides exclusive service to French speaking customers (excluding French-speaking Canada). Robert offers technical support and also delivers on-site training courses to Minitab customers.
Since transferring to our French office, Robert has trained many influential companies throughout France and North Africa, including Air France Industries, Philips Lighting, Rhodia Engineering Plastics, Honeywell, and Renault DIAC. Robert has also been instrumental in providing training courses to those companies who are working to implement Six Sigma quality initiatives.
Robert joined Minitab having worked for several years as a market analyst in a sales forecasting organisation in Paris.
Sami Chaabi
Technical Training Specialist
Recent Clients: Becton Dickinson France, Benteler Automotive, Air Liquide, Basell, Ingram Micro Europe, Carrier SCS, Duracell Batteries.
I joined Minitab in 2000. I started by developing and increasing my knowledge of the Minitab software package through the Technical Support department, where I still work, before giving training on the software as well.
The two departments complement each other significantly, and this allows me to better meet the expectations of the various users. Their complementary nature also enables me to pay more particular attention to the problems that users encounter most often with Minitab, and this therefore allows me to give them more confidence in using it. I also think that moving from technical support to training is the best possible route for maximum understanding of customers' needs.
The trainer position is also highly stimulating as it requires constant adaptation to the needs of the different companies where training is given, and the training sessions also allow for a significant exchange of ideas between clients and Minitab. In addition, the fact that I only left university recently means that I can identify trainees' learning needs more accurately to make the training as effective as possible.
The thing I like most about the trainer position is that I am passing on my knowledge about the Minitab software package to users, to give them as much information as possible for optimum use of the software.
